As soon as possible! We love being involved from the start so we can help from the very beginning stages of your project. There are so many decisions that go into the floorplan design alone, so bringing us in as soon as possible is best! But we will take on your project at any stage of your build or remodel even if you are farther along in the process.

The great thing about Heather Lay Interiors is we work as a collaborative team. So you don't just get one of us, you get all of us! Heather is the lead creative director behind every project, and involved in all things at HLI. You will also have one of our 2 designers assigned to your project. They will also act as your project manager. All hands on deck around here! We want to make sure you are taken care of at every step of the way!

As much or as little as you wish! We will discuss in our discovery call your design needs, and come up with a tailored process that fits your specific project based on the creative involvement you want to have.
Hard design consists of all the hard finishes in your home that are not 'removable'. Meaning: Paint, countertops, lighting, hardware, flooring etc. Soft design consists of the soft finishes that include: Furniture, pillows, window treatments, accessories etc!
We got you covered! We use many local showrooms around the city to source tile, lighting, countertops etc. We also work off of the list your builder provides (if applicable) to select from their preferred vendors. We also have great go-to sources online as well.
